I always wanted to dance as much as I have always wanted to write, after long summer days spent with my Gran looking with wonderment at her old dancing shoes.

We would pretend to dance and she would always be full of stories about how Grandad and she would dance the night away. How they would have won Strictly Come Dancing if it had been on in their day.

She would say that when she thinks of him in Heaven she knows he’d be busy trying to woo those angels’ but he would be saving the last dance for her.

Thanks to the amazing Rochelle who hosts Friday Fictioners and I am sorry I am late to the party (insert excuse here) this week.
