Friday Fictioners – Young Love

Young Love

My boyfriend phoned and told me he had a surprise for me, and to come round at dusk.

As my mum drove, clearly in on the surprise, I was full of excitement and nerves, having already spent the afternoon worrying about what it could be.

He took my hand and led me blindfolded to the back of his house and what greeted me took my breath away.

It was magical with all the pretty lights; he’d set up a table where we could enjoy a romantic meal of sandwiches, crisps and cake, that he had prepared early with his mum.

Written as part of Friday Fictioners, which is kindly run by RochelleRochelle. She posts a picture every week and in response us Friday Fictioners write a 100 word flash fiction.

Common in and join us one week!

I am still as ever concentrating on my story, still using the online critique group, we are getting closer and closer to the part where I haven’t written anything. As works slows I have been writing stuff instead of working..
